We love Irish traditional dances and our goal is to promote, educate and encourage the practice of traditional Irish folk dances and music in the Low Country. The word "Ceili" refers to an Irish social dance event with set dancing, ceili dancing, or both and possibly other types of dances such as the waltz and polkas. Originally, a Ceili was an informal gathering among friends and family where dancing, storytelling, singing and socializing took place. In this way, the history and values of a community were passed on from generation to generation.
